DJ Hero priced at $120

DJ Hero
Both GameStop and Amazon have both put up the DJ hero turntable bundle for the Wii, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360 for $199.99. They were not in any partnership in doing this either. So we already have two separate sources with the same price. They also both had the date of shipment set to October 27th. Since both of these websites put this information up completely independently of each other, we can be pretty sure that this is the real deal.
One site is also saying that the PS2 version will be priced at the same price while the other says it will be $20 cheaper. There is no confirmation yet from Activision and there is still a lot of time for change so check back in to see what’s going on.
Games on Demand section pops up on Xbox.com

Xbox.com games on demand
Microsoft recently redesigned the website, changing the look of your profile page and more. It seems that they have also replaced the XBOX Originals page with the games on-demand section. By the looks of it, it was just a renaming of the section, as the XBOX original games are now under the on-demand title. It may become the new spot that will include all downloadable games, which will also include the full game downloads coming in August.
Update- Microsoft is ending the XBOX Originals program. There wasn’t much notice or announcements about it…
Microsoft Offering Silver Members one month of Live for $1

XBOX Live Gold for $1
It’s true. Microsoft is now offering 1 month of XBOX Live gold to US gamers for $1. It is a limited time deal. So what’s the catch? Well. Not sure if this counts as a catch, but once your month is up Microsoft will charge you for the other 11 months unless you opt out. So keep that in mind if you don’t want your parents taking Halo 3 from you.

XBOX 360 Arcade Upgraded to 512MB Internal Memory

Jasper 512MB on-board memory
There was recently an XBOX 360 Arcade spotted that had the Jasper 512MB on-board memory chip (shown above). Microsoft confirmed the sight stating:
“We want to offer consumers a bit more memory at the same low price so they can enjoy more experiences on Xbox LIVE.”
I’m sure that they never took into consideration the fact that people who owned an Arcade currently, never gave them their money from downloadable content. They also said that users will not be able to use all of the memory. The system itself will have to use a bit of it, hopefully a small bit.
Not sure if these are available yet so check back in soon.
Balmer Confirms Natal XBOX 360
Microsoft CEO Steve Balmer made an interesting announcement at the Executive’s Club of Chicago. He said that a new 360 would be hitting shelves in 2010.
He said:
“The new device will be equipped with technology that is “really, really, close” to an actuality. The console, which was described as having a “natural interface,” will have a built in camera with the ability to recognize movement and voice.”
This is obviously referring to Microsoft’s Project Natal. Things are still a little confusing right now, after hearing Aaron Greenburg deny the whole thing:
“I think part of the excitement about this announcement is that in many ways we are delivering a next generation experience this generation. With that said, I can confirm that Natal will run on Xbox 360 so no new console investment will be necessary.”
I guess if you read that in a different perspective, it simply means that you can still run the Project Natal Software on the console you already own, but then what would make the new Natal based console any different?
The news is still coming in and we will get to the bottom of this soon, but until then go ahead and leave your comments with what you think of all of this.
Logitech Announces Wireless Guitar Hero Controller for XBOX 360
Logitech announced its very own wireless Guitar Hero Controller for the Xbox 360. this guitar rocks a wood neck, rosewood fretboard, steel frets, and a touch-sensitive slider bar. The strum bar and fret buttons are nearly silent, and you can play within 30-feet, which can be good when your on stage, things can get pretty crazy. You can pick one of these bright orange instruments for a good $199 this August.
Natal based XBOX 360 rumor replaced with 3 dimensions
People just keep putting it in their head that there has to be a new system coming. It seems like just one phrase means more than what it’s meant to mean. So the rumors will always be out there. The rumor is that Microsoft will be releasing a new console in 2010 and that the Natal Project will be the cornerstone. But that rumor has faded away and there is a new one. The rumor is that they will be making a 3D console. We all know that Sony has been working with another company, of which I cannot remember, on a 3D platform. It’s still just an unanswered rumor, but we’ll let you know about it soon enough.
Update- We were attempting to change the look of the blog, but that was taking up too much time to update. So we will just move along with changing the design more slowly, so we can continue to give you the latest news. Thanks for your patience guys.

Xbox 360 will be getting on-demand retail games
Microsoft also announced that the Xbox 360 will soon let you download full retail games directly from your Xbox at a price close to that of what you find in stores. Purchases can be made with a credit card. Don’t worry about that, the points system will remain intact, just not for the on-demand retail games. In the demonstration there weren’t too many games, but you can be sure that there will be more when released. Whether or not you can just rent the game is unsure.
